Saddle Butter Restores, Repairs, and Replenishes Leather

SADDLE BUTTER®

Since its creation in 1936, Saddle Butter has remained the finest leather care product available. Saddle Butter replaces natural oils and actively nourishes and rehydrates leather.

Saddle Butter by Ray Holes Leather CareSaddle Butter excels in protecting leather from its three worst enemies: sun, wet weather, and sweat.   This fine leather dressing combines the original saddle maker's recipe of pure neatsfoot oil, bees wax and Brazilian carnauba wax.

Saddle Butter waterproofs and conditions leather, helping create and maintain the mellow feel desired in both old and new leather. Its blend of natural waxes provides excellent waterproofing while nourishing the leather. Once dry, the waxes buff to a soft, hand-rubbed finish that enhances the leather’s look and feel.

Saddle Butter is perfect for all fine, top-grained leather tack. Made of the finest natural ingredients, Saddle Butter is as close to neutral as possible. It causes little or no discoloration of leather and instead restores the leather's natural color.

SADDLE BUTTER® does not contain modern synthetics, mineral oils or commonly used leather-treating chemicals which break down the natural fiber and slowly rot your leather goods.

Available in 3 oz., 14 oz. and by the gallon

Using Saddle Butter to Protect Your Leather

Protecting your best leather with Saddle Butter is a quick and easy process.

STEP 1: Clean your leather item before applying the protective layer of Saddle Butter. We recommend using warm water with a small amount pure glycerin soap, then rinse well and let dry.

STEP 2: For best results, apply in a warm location. Use a soft, clean cloth or your hands to apply an even coating of Saddle Butter. Let your leather sit for up to 8 hours after the application until the Saddle Butter is completely penetrated into the leather.

STEP 3: Buff the Saddle Butter using a clean cloth or woolskin to a desired shine.

What People are Saying about Saddle Butter

"First, congratulations on having a successful company and formula survive 4 generations and more to come, I am sure! I have used the Saddle Butter, actually, for close to 20 years. I discovered it while working for a ranch in the Nicola Valley area of BC, and have used it since, and have my youngest son using it as well."

"I recently installed a leather seat on my motorcycle and was wondering about the best treatment and protection. My brother restores old baseball gloves as a hobby and now a fledgling business, so I asked him for a recommendation. He said without hesitation, 'Saddle Butter. Hands down the best leather restorer, rejuvenator and protectant.' I have now been using this on my motorcycle seat and other leather goods with great satisfaction.

"Super easy to use, made my saddle and tack soft and supple again. I wiped everything down with a wet cloth first. Be sure to apply the butter in the sun for maximum results, It really helped it rub in and absorb. I applied it with a small round sponge and rubbed it in a circular motion. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and lightly wiped it off with a clean soft cotton towel, not much came off onto the towel. Everything looks like new. I rode in my saddle the next day, no residue was on my jeans! That's a first! I used about a quarter of the container to do my saddle, 5 headstalls, and 3 roping reins. I would definitely recommend this saddle butter."
